‘What happens when uncertainty is met with creativity? These times are reflections of human fragility but also human potentiality.

And my creative process often confronts this question in myself. But I know that change and response are the life blood of the creative process.

Using musical forms, Mother Earth and humanity’s longing as my metaphors this collection of paintings reflects on this potent paradox we live in.

不確実性が創造性で満たされたとき、何が起こるのか？このような時代は、人間の脆さの反映であると同時に、人間の可能性の反映でもあります。

そして、私の創造的なプロセスは、しばしば自分自身の中でこの問いに直面します。しかし、私は、変化と反応が創造的なプロセスの生命線であることを知っています。

音楽の形、母なる大地、そして人類の憧れをメタファーとして用いたこの絵画集は、私たちが生きているこの強力なパラドックスを反映しています。

Sidd Murray-Clark is an artist, designer and teacher who works and exhibits his art in Asia and Europe.

シド・マリークラークは、アーティスト、デザイナー、そしてティーチャーであり、アジアやヨーロッパで自身の作品を発表しています。

Sidd is an artist writer and teacher.

He shares his creativity to help expand consciousness and sensibility in people’s lives and their environment.

シドはアーティストであり、またライター、ティーチャーでもあります。

彼は自らのクリエイティビティを分かち合うことで人々の人生や環境における感受性と意識の広がりを助けます。

彼は内面の世界と外の世界の両方を探求し、その二つの世界の間にある生き生きしたつながりに働きかけます。

プロフィール

BIOGRAPHY

Sidd was born in Edinburgh, Scotland.

His very early years were spent in Singapore, before returning to England for his formal education.

He studied stage design for theatre and television and received a degree at Central School of Art, London.

He then received a post-graduate diploma in art education at London University, and a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation scholarship.

His creative life has involved landscape and architectural design as well as writing, illustration and graphic design for publishing, while living in many countries both East and West.

He currently lives in Japan, holding exhibitions and teaching inspirational creativity workshops.

＜経歴＞

スコットランド・エディンバラで生まれる。

幼少期をシンガポールで過ごした後、イングランドに戻り教育を受ける。

ロンドンのセントラルスクール・オブ・アート（セントラル・セント・マーチンズ）

にて、舞台デザインの学位を取得。

後に、カルースト・グルベンキアン財団の奨学金を受け、ロンドン大学のアート教育における大学院学位を取得。

シドの創作活動は、多くの国における在住経験の間に、景観設計や建築デザイン、執筆、出版物のイラストレーションやグラフィックデザインなど多岐にわたる。

２００６年より兵庫県西宮に在住。
