NAVID FARD | ナヴィド ファルド

Contemporary Iranian-Canadian artist whose paintings are a mix of abstract and figurative forms, through his work he aims to capture the relationship and the interaction of humans with themselves as well as the other species. The constructive and destructive quality of mankind and their impact on nature. His work mostly reflects social/political issues, his life experiences, and memories. The hidden and mysterious emotions of individuals/relation with each other are what inspire him to paint. 

His work is an exploration of color, shape, movement, and the medium he uses. The artist chosen medium is oil and acrylic on canvas as it offers intensity and subtleness, sometimes he relays on other mediums such as chalk pastel and charcoal to create a juxtaposition between the medium and the texture in his paintings, which adds to the colorfulness and playfulness of his work. He is also the selected Painter for Canada OSA, Ontario Society of Artist’s Biennial in 2014.

カナダ・アメリカ・イランの展示会で評価を高め、2014年OSA（オリエンタル芸術家ビエンナーレ協会）で優れた画家の一人として選ばれている。日本初個展。
