アメリカ スペイン 日本と地球をグルリ一回り、別々な場所に人生の拠点を置き、制作する4人。全く違う人生を生きながら、日本人としてのアイデンティティは同じ。
何か作品に共通なものが有るのではないか、そんな気持ちでの4人展です。
心象風景を描く画家の小林久子と岡村久実子、着ているだけで、ふふふっ、、、と少し楽しくなったり元気になる洋服を紡ぎ出す手織服アーティストの篠崎静江と梅原記久子。ぞれぞれに違う世界観を一つの展示会で表現する妙をお楽しみください。
展示会のタイトル「A Room of One’s Own」は、20世紀初頭の小説家バージニアウルフによる有名なエッセイのタイトルから引用されています。
The exhibition title, “A Room of One’s Own,” is taken from the title of the essay of the early-20th-century novelist Virginia Woolf, who wrote about the difficulties women had to cope with to become artists in a male-dominated society.
As Woolf observed, “A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction.”
With respect to Virginia Woolf, we are delighted to hold a room of our own in this exhibition.

伝統的な絵画芸術とヨーロッパのリアリズムの共生を表し、色とテクニックの選択は、これら二つの世界の調和のとれた統一を生み出しています。絵の中では認識と自然への深い憧れを共有させています。私のビジョンは、自然と人間に対する彼女の魅惑と見方を鑑賞者に伝えることです。鑑賞者の感性に触れ、暖かさと平穏な沈黙の感覚を呼び起こします。
私の芸術の基礎は、ヨーロッパのルネッサンス技法であるEgg Temoeraに基づいています。
プロフィール
1959年、東京生まれ
岡本 パウリッシュ 久実子は、幼い頃から日本の伝統的な木炭や鉛筆画の技法の教育を受けました。
1972年、多摩美術大学のプロダクトデザイン科を卒業。ベルリンでルイジ・コラーに勤務した後、ハンブルグ大学で美術史、ファインアート大学でテキスタイルデザインを学ぶ。
1975年、学術作品「ヨーロッパ美術に対する日本芸術の影響」を発表。博報堂ハンブルグ支店でグラフイックデザイナー兼コーディネーターを務める。日本で、古来からの日本画の絵画技法を習得。
現在、スペインのマジョルカ島の小さな村で制作しています。
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1950, Kumiko Okamoto- Paulisch received education in traditional Japanese charcoal and pencil drawing techniques from an early age. From 1968, Kumiko received formal education in Product Design at the prestigious ‘Tama Art University in Tokyo and graduated in 1972,
After working under Luigi Colani in Berlin, Germany, Kumiko studied Art History at the University of Hamburg, Germany, as well as Textile Design at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg. In 1975, Hamburg, her academic work, “The influence of Japanese Art on European Art” was published. Furthermore, Kumiko worked at the Hamburg office of the renowned Japanese advertising agency, Hakuhodo’ as a graphic designer and coordinator.
In Japan, Kumiko undertook further extensive explorations in traditional Japanese painting techniques in her paintings, Kumiko sets a special focus on ‘egg tempera’, a traditional technique of the European Renaissance.
The Atelier and permanent residence of Kumiko Okamoto-Paulisch is located in a small village in Mallorca, Spain.
The style of the artist Kumiko Okamoto-Paulisch represents symbiosis of Japan’s traditional
art of paintings and of the European Realism. Her choice of colors and technique create a harmonious unity of these two worlds.
In her paintings, Kumiko Okamoto-Paulisch shares her perception and deep admiration of nature. Her vision is to transfer her fascination and her view of the nature and human beings to the observer. Her paintings touch to sensibility of the observer and evoke a feeling of warmth and peaceful silence.
The foundation of her art is a technique based on Ege Tempera, a technique of the Renaissance of Europe.

小さな絵画から大きな世界、宇宙の探求、それが私の求めるものです。私の絵は抽象画ではありますが、心の中を形に表したものなのです。
プロフィール
１９８１年プラット大学院を卒業、N.Y. Greenwich Village のロフトに住み、創作活動を開始。毎年世界各地で展覧回を開催。近年は、パリ日動画廊、国立モスクワオリエンタル美術館、またGeorges Berges 画廊（Soho NY) では毎年個展を開催。
近年のコレクション
ロシア国立オリエンタル美術館、マークロスコの息子さん(音楽、美術の批評家),ラテン音楽で著名なロミオ.サントスさん等が作品をコレクションされています。

HISAKO KOBAYASHI has been showing her art for three decades on four continents–work that combines the influences of a person who still feels strong affinity for her native Tokyo, but who also received training at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and who has lived in Manhattan for most of her adult life.
The dean of American art critics, Donald Kuspit, has devoted an essay to Hisako’s work. Kuspit contrasts her art with Jackson Pollock’s, observing: “Kobayashi’s slower moving, more intimate paintings–their more tender surface drawing us into the sensual depths, luring our psyche rather their overwhelming it, their calmer gestures softly touching the canvas rather than brusquely thrown down on it, their refined painterliness at odds with Pollock’s raw painterliness—embody the feminine sublime.”
Hisako recently sold a second work to art collector and critic Christopher Rothko, author of a book on the work of his father, 20th-century painter Mark Rothko, one of the artists who has most inspired her.

着ているだけで、ふふふっ、、、と少し楽しくなったり元気になったり、そんな手織の服を作ろうとfufufu fuku (ふふふ服）と名前を付けました。
何百色も有る糸棚から最初に飛び込んできた色が、次々に仲間の色を呼び込んで色のハーモニーが生まれます。
その色を遊んで楽しんで織りあげた布が、自然に服の形をイメージさせてくれ、勢いのまま服にします。
たて糸を作った時、よこ糸が加わって織り上がった時、服に縫いあがった時、でもまだまだ未完成。
人が着て初めて完成、着る人によって大きくイメージが変わってきます。
どんなに個性的な服でも、着る人を主役にしてくれる手織服です。
